Girl Wise Conference, Apri 18, 2915

12th Annual Girl-Wise Conference

The 12th Annual Girl-Wise Conference will be held on April 18, 2015 from 9 am until 3 pm at the College of Lake County, Grayslake Campus, Building C. This Conference is geared towards girls of ages 11 thru 17. It will offer workshops that promote healthy bodies, minds and relationships. There also will be workshops for parents as well. Admission is free and, in addition to workshops, there will be entertainment, raffles and free lunch.

The Girl-Wise Conference is sponsored by the 19th Judicial Circuit, Lake County Juvenile Justice Council, the College of Lake County and the Regional Office of Education.

NAMI Lake County is Offering a 12 Week Series on Mental Illness from March 25 - June 17, 2015

El programa de doce semanas cubrirá información acerca de enfermedades tales como esquizofrenia, desórdenes del estado de ánimo (desorden bipolar y depresión), desorden de pánico, desorden obsesivo compulsivo y desorden de personalidad múltiple. También se tratarán habilidades para enfrentar y manejar las crisis y recaídas, información básica acerca de la medicación, técnicas de comunicación con el enfermo, habilidades para resolver problemas, recuperación y rehabilitación, y auto cuidado del estrés y las preocupaciones. El programa está diseñado específicamente para padres, hermanos (as), esposos(as), jóvenes, hijos adultos y otras personas cercanas a una persona con una enfermedad mental.

The National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI), Lake County is presenting a twelve week program about diseases such as schizophrenia, mood disorders (bipolar disorder and depression), panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder and multiple personality disorder. Coping skills and managing crises and relapse, basic information about medication, communication techniques with the patient, problem solving skills, recovery and rehabilitation, and self care stress and worries will also be discussed. The program is designed specifically for parents, siblings (as), spouses (as), young, adult children and others close to a person with a mental illness.

Do Need Information About Passports?

The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court's office has passport applications and information on obtaining or renewing a passport. Passport applications are processed at the Clerk of the Cicuit Court's office Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

The office is located at the Lake County Building, 18 N. County St., Waukegan, IL 60085 and the telephone number is 847.377.3380. Click here for more infomation in Spanish and English.

Lake County Circuit Clerk Public Access System is Now Live!

The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, criminal and juvenile cases filed and heard in Lake County. These records are now available online to the general public. The Circuit Clerk's office collects and disburses traffic and criminal fines, civil fees, child support and processes passport applications. Office staff is also responsible for recording filed documents and attending court for the purposes of maintaining a record of all proceedings.
