Lakeside Tower Opens Waiting List

Lakeside Tower Accepting Applications for Housing

Lakeside Tower apartments is soliciting names to add to the waiting list for 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments. Applications are available for pickup only at 200 Julian Street on October 26th, 27th and 28th 2015 between 9am-12 pm. All applications must be postmarked by November 5, 2015.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, meet the selection criteria & HUD income guidelines.

Senior Health Fair October 10, 2015 at Foss Park

Foss Park District and the City of North Chicago are sponsoring a Senior Health Fair on Saturday, October 10 from 9:00 am until noon at Foss Park, 3124 Argonne Drive, North Chicago.

Services to be offered are:

  • Fall Prevention Education
  • Foot Inspection
  • Diabetes Education
  • Medication Counseling
  • Dietary Review
  • Aging Education
  • and more

All services will be provided by Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science faculty and students.

Zion Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration  Zion Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration October 3, 2015

The Zion Public Library will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month this weekend.

1:00 pm - Gizella Meneses, a filmmaker and Associate Professor at Lake Forest College, will present her documentary, Second Generation Stories: Growing Up Latino/a in Chicago. Following the viewing, Professor Meneses will talk about the Latino experience in the U.S.

2:30 pm - storyteller, Jasmin Cardenas, will share stories of Latino experiences as a first generation American.

Do Need Information About Passports?

The Lake County Clerk of the Circuit Court's office has passport applications and information on obtaining or renewing a passport. Passport applications are processed at the Clerk of the Cicuit Court's office Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm.

Lake County Circuit Clerk Public Access System is Now Live!

The Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court is responsible for maintaining a record of all traffic, civil, criminal and juvenile cases filed and heard in Lake County. These records are now available online to the general public. The Circuit Clerk's office collects and disburses traffic and criminal fines, civil fees, child support and processes passport applications. Office staff is also responsible for recording filed documents and attending court for the purposes of maintaining a record of all proceedings.
